Today’s holidays:
Casting for the DW Reboot:
Leslie’s friend, Jacob:
Geena Davis-Julia Sugarbaker
megan mullally-Suzanne Sugarbaker
Tina Fey -Charlene Frazier
Michael K Williams-Anthony Bouvier
Thora Birch-Mary Jo Shively

Charlene - Kate McKinnon
Mary Jo - Phoebe Robinson
Anthony - Paul Rudd
Leslie’s Picks:
Julia - Viola Davis
Mary Jo - Aubrey Plaza
Charlene - Tatiana Maslany
Suzanne - Kerry Washington
Anthony - Idris Elba
On second thought, though, Nicole Da Silva from Wentworth - she has played a prisoner and playing with the gender of characters would be cool.
Gonna echo that with a writing team of Tina Fey and Amy Poehler but add people like
Leslie Jones, Ilene Chaiken and periodically have guest writers that are women like Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson, and maybe like Phoebe Robinson and Jessica Williams.

Our *new* theme music (excuse the bit of excess noise) is from Season 3, Episode 18, “Come On and Marry Me, Bill,” and we used the part where Julia and Mary Jo are singing to Charlene. The original song is called “My Buddy” and has been sung by everyone from Frank Sinatra to Doris Day and Barbara Streisand.Gus Kahn wrote it in 1922 and Walter Donaldson did the music. Thanks to the folks on this message board for the information.
